On behalf of the organizing committee, we were honored to welcome the global engineering education community to Dubai for the 2014 World Engineering Education Forum. Held from December 3–6, 2014 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, the forum built on the foundations established by WEEF 2010 in Singapore and WEEF 2012 in Buenos Aires.
The forum brought together engineering educators, researchers, industry professionals, and students to exchange ideas, share research, and strengthen international collaboration. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, the event reflected a deep commitment to advancing engineering education worldwide.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the distinguished speakers, delegates, students, sponsors, and exhibitors whose contributions made the forum a success. The collective effort of the local organizing committee, technical committees, and participating organizations ensured a rich and productive program across all four days.
The forum served as a platform for meaningful dialogue on the future of engineering education — addressing curriculum innovation, accreditation, industry-academia partnerships, and the role of technology in shaping how engineers learn and teach. We trust that the connections and insights gained in Dubai continue to inspire progress in classrooms, laboratories, and institutions around the world.
